About Us
SRF Tree Specialists is a family run business that was established in 1993 by Sean and Kate Ritchie. Sean has a national diploma in Arboriculture and Kate has a degree in Environmental Biology. Their son, William, joined them in 2013 upon completing his "Trees and Timber" apprenticeship at Askham Bryan College, York. His younger brother, James, completed a "Countryside Management Course" at Brooksby College, Melton Mowbray and joined the family business in 2016.
More recently, their daughter Laura ,who has a level 2 RHS in Horticulture from Brooksby College, has joined SRF for garden border maintenance and planting jobs. Her degree in wildlife conservation from Nottingham Trent University provides SRF with invaluable advice regarding wildlife ecology and diversity.
Their ethos is to work as closely with nature as possible causing a minimum disturbance to wildlife and their habitats.
